Diogo Manuel Vieira Saraiva (Porto) has been studying in the Faculty of Fine Arts in Porto's University for the past 2 years. In these years the artist has improved significantly his painting skills and has participated in small exhibitions like the 2020 "DO AVESSO" shown at AL859, which makes him an artist to watch closely in the near future.
"I believe art should help ease the soul of the viewer but most of all it should ease the soul of the artist."
"I think of painting as a way to show other people my way of seeing and comprehending the world. To do that I use mainly oil paints. I don't consider myself to have an actual style of painting, it varies a lot."
"However I have been atracted to figurative and narrative painting. I enjoy the idea of telling a story through an image. There is a fine line between showing too much and showing just enough to capture the viewer's interest making them want to know and understand more."
