True Partner for Artists

From selling artworks, to creating VR exhibitions, offering career consulting or developing merchandising, we are proud to be a true partner for artists.

It’s all connected to our will to help artists’ careers.

We come alive to potentiate artists' growth and to support entities that wish to invest in art, while creating a positive impact in different communities. In the pursuit to generate a positive impact, we offer 7% of our profit to an NGO chosen by artists. This way, the impact of a bought piece not only serves the purpose of giving value to the work and message passed by the artists, but also to the community that inspires and surrounds them. This way, we all win, together.

Art’s Funding Paradox

Cultural industries have proven to be a key sector for social and economic development, representing a big slice of most rich countries GDP’s. So, we wonder: why is public investment in culture so controversial for the electorate? In art2act, we see public institutions as key partners of private business and creators. We believe that with them, we will be able to work toward the democratisation of art, both for artists and spectators, and for potentiating an increasing support and development of cultural industries.

Arts, Politics and Civil Society

Throughout history, independent art has played a key role in civil movements, as has civil society in keeping creation independent. So, we wonder: shouldn’t we try to bring sustainability to culture for and by the people? In art2act, we’re deeply concerned by artists’ independence, both financial and creative. That is why, through the power of community building, we believe that an ecosystem can be created to support artists without depending on few stakeholders, but on a mass of citizens that grows and decides democratically.

Interviewing Mariana Ralo | newsletter #28

"I do handwoven tapestries and want to add texture and comfort to spaces with my artwork ... I had never thought about pursuing a career in arts. I remember designing clothes on the back of school notebooks, stealing my mother’s sewing machine to start projects that are - to this day - unfinished, and selling handmade scarfs to high school friends; and I still have sweaters of my own creation hanging in my wardrobe."
