Donation: 7% of this artwork will be donated to "AMI - Assistência Médica Internacional" | AMI was founded in 1984, with Mankind as its main focus. Since 1987, it has intervened in 79 countries, having sent hundreds of volunteers and tonnes of aid (medicines and medical equipment, food, clothes, vehicles, generators, etc.). In the international arena, AMI carries out three large kinds of interventions: Emergency Missions, Development Missions with expatriate teams and International Projects in Partnership with Local Organizations, aiming to adjust its operation to the characteristics and needs of the context, and with that in mind, assuming a phased intervention. The ultimate goal is always the sustainability of the development process.
Thomas Mendonça (1991, France), is a visual artist graduated at ESAD.Cr. Currently living and working in Lisbon. He participated in the exhibitions "Poríferos Preciosos" at Museu Geológico de Lisboa and Museu Nacional de História Natural e da Ciência, "Género na Arte: Corpo, sexualidade, identidade, resistência" at Museu Nacional de Arte Contemporânea do Chiado, and "Species Novae" at Galeria FOCO. Among others, he also curated the exhibitions "PAU DURO CORAÇÃO MOLE"; "O Vírus" and "Sem Receio De Criar O Caos" for the 22nd and 23rd editions of International Queer Film Festival - Queer Lisboa, both at Galeria FOCO. His main interests are spread among sentimental melodramas, post-pop culture and the beauty of iconic singularity in general.
